About Barosi Farm

WHO WE ARE

We are a team of farmers, doing what we love - farming, rearing cows and bringing you their tales and produce !

We are from a farming background and have many generations of farming experience behind us. But the idea of Barosi was born out of an upcountry visit when we devoured the most authentic, genuine and tasty food at a roadside dhaba that had a small dairy in its backyard. That’s when we decided to go back to our roots (after many decades of a very urban life), and started our own dairy farm in Pataudi, Haryana.

In times when our lives are ruled by urbanisation and commercialisation, and when we often forget where our food comes from, our endeavour is to bridge this gap and provide you the most authentic farm grown, preservative free food.

We stand for Earthy, Good Food !!

Our Authentic Products

The very first of the Barosi brand of wholesome goodness – fresh, pure milk from cows brought up in our backyard.

One of our fondest memories from our childhood, is Maa waiting by the door to hand us a tall glass of milk, served right out of a clay pot that rested in a Barosi. Our bags and shoes flung by the door, there was nothing more enticing than the earthy and smoky smell of the milk, lent to it by the slow heating in the Barosi. Even as we gulped down the milk, the Barosi, which was a small hole in the ground filled with wood and cow dung cakes, nestled the clay pot as it heated slowly.

Milk has an important role in Indian kitchen - it dominates our daily staple food and is one of the best sources of nutrition for children. Your needs are a top priority for Barosi and we understand our responsibility when it comes to food quality. We bring you farm-fresh, raw, nutritious and tasty milk to your doorstep. Barosi milk is free from unnatural additives or preservatives of any kind.

From Indian chapatis to Egyptian bread, wheat has been a culinary mainstay for thousands of years. Wheat is farmers’ pride. Lush, brilliant and verdant green fields. Then, ripe golden straws of wheat with the sun glinting off them. And as you look at the wide expanse of the wheat fields, a gentle breeze blows your way - an irreplaceable earthy aroma.

Wheat flour or aata is an essential in the kitchen. Sourced from Madhya Pradesh, Barosi brings you Sharbati wheat that is chakki-ground wheat flour with bran. Nutritious, healthy and rich in vitamins, protein and carbohydrates – Barosi wheat flour is made available to you at your doorstep.

Ghee is a culinary gold. Versatile, imperishable and wholesome – the secret ingredient of Indian gourmet cuisine. Even today, when we ask grand mom, the questions of the secret to her delicious food spread elicits an enigmatic smile from her. Something tells me, it is Ghee!

Barosi Ghee is cooked cow milk butter. Through an extremely slow cooking process, the butter is refined – carbon hydrates, proteins, casein, lactose, impurities and water are removed, leaving only pure fat or oil. Barosi Ghee is a promise of healthy alternative to refined oils.

Jaggery is the countryside chocolate – the healthiest dessert possible. A jaggery addiction hits hard – one nibble at a time. Sweet and smoky complexity combined with mineral and coffee overtones, it pleases the palate in every possible way.

Barosi Jaggery is free of chemical and genetically developed crop. Obtained through the natural process, its nutrients are intact when it reaches you. A healthy alternative to refined sugar, jaggery is a rich source of iron, calcium, magnesium, essential amino acids, minerals and vital vitamins.
